Peter and Mira came from different backgrounds, but had the same heart for missions. Peter’s family had a rich Christian heritage: his father was a church planter in different countries, and Peter was involved in ministry since early age. At age 16, Peter had a dream to be a missionary around the whole world, and to make a significant impact in peoples lives. Mira came to Christ at the age of 7 when missionaries from America came to Ukraine right after communism collapsed in 1991. In her teenage and young adult years she was deeply involved in Jewish ministry. God spoke to her heart that she would be a missionary, and in 2006 she went to study at Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX. When Peter and Mira met for the first time in 2008, all they talked about was missions, and that’s what made a spark in their relationships. Later, once married, their missions dream was birthed through founding Make Impact Right Away (MIRA).

Daniel and Nataliya Babb met the Pshichenko family soon after joining Trinity Church, connecting through mission month and small group. Daniel had grown up on the mission field in Peru, and Nataliya in Ukraine. They met in Midlothian at a small group welcoming missionaries back from Europe, and part of the instant attraction was the shared heart for missions.
Daniel has always dreamed of returning to the mission field and serving orphans; Nataliya, long before coming to Christ even, had a heart for orphans. When Peter and Mira invited them to be part of Make Impact Right Away, they were elated to join the mission… and see the glory of the Lord cover the Earth as the waters cover the sea!

Sam and Ericka Durand are currently living in Indianapolis, Indiana, where Sam works as Dean of Students, Athletic Director, and High School soccer coach in a nearby thriving Christian school. Ericka is a homemaker and mother to sons, Isaac and Benjamin.

The Durand’s have hearts for prayer and revival in the USA and other nations of the world. They are part of a generous, spirit- filled church that is strongly missions focused. Sam and Ericka are thankful to the Pshichenko family and for the opportunity to be a part of MIRA Missions and the beautiful work of ministering to people in need around the world.

Thiago Abreu is the Chief Operation Officer (COO) of MIRA Missions. His senior executive task is overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions, and ensuring that the organization is run in the most efficient way possible. He has an accounting background where he worked for different companies and CPE offices in Brazil.

In 2000, he became a full-time missionary with YWAM – Youth With A Mission, and for more than 10 years, had the opportunity to travel the world preaching the Gospel and sharing God’s love. He graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, in Advanced Leadership and Pastoral School. Also, he’s an ordained minister with FMC – Fellowship Minister and Churches in Dallas, and also with his home church “MEVAM” in Brazil. Since 2016, he’s been part of the staff at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas, working with missions and outreaches.

Thiago has been married to Pôni since 1998, and has 2 beautiful kids, Asaf and Sarah.

Lisa was born in Belize and came to the US in 1998. She lived in Los Angeles for a few years, and then, when her son was three, they moved to Texas. In 2014, Lisa surrendered her life to Jesus and immediately began serving in the children’s ministry at her church. They both began to grow their relationship with the Lord and served Him faithfully.

Lisa and Joshua have a heart for missions, and last year, Joshua had the opportunity to go to Brazil with MIRA Missions and preached for the first time. This won’t be his first, and it won’t be his last opportunity, because Joshua loves the Lord and wants to continue spreading the good news of the gospel. Lisa is grateful to be a part of MIRA Missions and is committed to serving God with all her heart.
